The Kender Spoon of Turning
donated by Tasslehoff Burrfoot

Description:
The Kender Spoon of turning looks like and ordinary silver spoon, but if magic is detected it will glow very brightly.

History: The Kender Spoon of Turning was created sometime around 400 P.C. by a kender cleric of Mishakal. She had lost her holy symbol around the time that she had visited her cousin. She just happened to be exploring a house that was rumored to be haunted and was caught by surprise when three undead creatures attacked her. She was unable to find her holy symbol so she grabbed the first item at hand, which happened to be a spoon she had found in the temple of Palidine earlier that day. With all the conviction of her faith she held the spoon aloft a spoke, "Oh Mishakal, I ask you for your light and your blessing to return theses stinky creatures from whence they came!" At that instance the spoon radiated a powerful light that turned the undead creatures to dust, and the Kender Spoon of Turning was born. As most kender possessions the spoon ended up travelling from one kender to another. At one time it did end up in Tasslehoff Burrfoot's hands. It was very early in his wanderlust, but he never forgot it. During his last adventure he proclaimed that a spoon from Dalamar's table was the fable spoon, but it was not.

How it Works: Any kender using the spoon only has to hold the spoon toward the undead creature and speak of their intent for the creatures. They will have a chance of turning the creature as if they were a cleric of the same level. Clerics will turn two levels higher than their current level. The spoon works against all manners of undead creatures.
