Description: The Hoopak of Intense Pacifism is made of supple willow. The hoopak is decorated with blue and white feathers. It's quite pleasing to the eye, actually. It's end is a sharp point of brass.

History: The Hoopak of Intense Pacifism was made by a tribe of merchant Kender (wanderers actually...). They were pacifists (really??) and often settled unfair accusations of stealing with a gift of one of their prized Hoopaks of Intense Pacifism. (the recipients, to say the least, were not pleased...)

How it Works: The Hoopak of Intense Pacifism has one major rule inscribed into the very grain of its wood. It will not attack any living thing. This goes for any stones flung from the sling end, or any attack gestures made. In fact, it won't even defend the bearer of the Hoopak. The Hoopak of Intense Pacifism is lawful good intelligent weapon. It can see any attack coming towards the bearer, even a rogue's backstab. When this happens, the Hoopak will give very loud shouts of, "Attack, attack! Oh gods, you're being attacked!" and other such cries. The kender in possession gains +2 to his saving throws against physical attacks and +1 to magical attacks, but the Hoopak will not attack or defend. In the event the Hoopak does attack a living creature, the Hoopak of Intense Pacifism will promptly destroy itself, rendering it a useless twig.
