The Really Nifty Hot-Potatoe Ring

Description:
A gold band with strange etchings.

History: Once, while deep in the throws of Wanderlust, I was journying with a party of adventurers, including one particularly wise and kind mage named Ian. Ian was an unusually patient man, but he must have been having a bad night that evening around the campfire, because he didn't enjoy hearing my wonderous tales of adventure and intrigue I usually regaled the party with each evening. As a consolation gift, however, he gave me the most magnificent ring -- the Really Nifty Hot-Potatoe Ring, as I call it. He was even kind enough to show me how it worked. Place the ring on your left hand. Watch it carefully, and snap your fingers with your right hand. Poof! Now it's on your right hand!!! Now snap your left fingers, and Poof! There it is, appearing back on your left hand!

How it Works: This was great fun! It never failed to carry me through when traveling through deep forests and dark dungeons got a bit boring. But that was how I found out another neat (if obnoxious) trick the ring could do! We'd been wandering through this particularly boring section of dungeon. We'd been fighting our way through for some time when the party decided to try to sneak past several guard-posts strung along a wide-open cavern. It was a long and boring process (after all, sneaking is only fun for a little while!) so I decided to play with my ring. Airen (the token-Elf of the party) must have been bothered by all the loud finger-snapping, and tried to take the ring away! How rude! I wasn't gonna let it go, though, but Ian had other ideas. He simply snaped his own fingers, and the ring jumped right onto his hand! So, it works when ANYONE snaps their fingers, I figured! But not one to pass up a good game, the finger-snapping soon broke out amongst the entire party! Unfortunately, the Kobolds who manned the near-by towers suddenly noticed us and were not so amused...
