Phil the Sword

Description: Phil the Sword looks like an ordinary broadsword (big for a kender). Extremely sharp and silvery. Iron hilt (still pretty). Black leather hand grip. Large garnet pommel-stone. Very light and swingable. Runes of protection on the blade.
History: Phil the Sword was forged by a mountain dwarf and given to a human named Phil. Phil was unfortunately killed in battle. A kindly magic-user bound his soul to the sword and gave it to Phil's friend, myself (Solstice Bramblebug). Phil and I have been inseperable ever since.
How it Works: Phil is used like any other sword. You swing it or stab with it, and it kills things. He talks of his own free will and gives you advice whether you want it or not. In return, you keep him in good repair and talk to him. The runes of protection are activated by the presence of danger. Really, any simpleton could use Phil as long as they don't mind his incessant chatter.....
