The Hoopak of Spring Dawning
donated by Raimen Pursesnatcher

Description:
It's a hoopak.

History: "This is a good story. OK, you see, my friends and I were
wandering around Myth Drannor, looking for some clues for
something that we were all looking for, when all of a
sudden, this big pile of money starts attacking us! OK,
they were actually evil spiders underneath the gold pieces,
but they were really small and it looked like money was
attacking us. Anyway, so we attack them, and Hercules, a
tiny fremlin mage, casts a big long range killing attack
spell. Except it makes everyone's stuff disappear! Well,
actually, everyone's but mine, since I was the farthest
away from the evil money spiders. So, Hercules decided to
cast a spell that would being everyone's stuff back, but
that didn't work either. But Lathander, the God of the
Morning that my friend Tarmazal is a holy paladin of, and
who also has a really nice temple on the eastern edge with
really nice clerics in it, must have decided to help us out
a bit. But the problem was, you see, that no one had any
armour or weapons left, except for me. Now you see,
Tarmazal was telling me a lot of stories about Lathander,
and how nice a god he is, and I started praying to him, so
I guess that he thought it would be a really neat idea if
he gave me a magic hoopak! But he didn't have any extra
hoopaks, so he made the one that I already had magical.
It looks exactly the same, but it's a whole lot better now.

"Since Lathander is the God of the Spring and of the Dawn,
and how the people back home celebrated a festival called
Spring Dawning, I thought that it would be a good name for
the hoopak." -- Raimen Pursesnatcher

How it Works: The Hoopak of Spring Dawning is a Hoopak + 2. When used
in melee against undead, the Hoopak of Spring Dawning, in
addition to dealing its normal damage, also turns the
undead as a cleric of the same level as the wielder.

If the undead is dispelled by the Hoopak of Spring Dawning,
they are surrounded by a rosy pink aura, which shrinks into
nothingness, taking the undead with it.
